What Is Fiberglass: The word "Fiberglass" - (F.R.P.) denotes Fiber Reinforced Plastics, which means that the product is constructed with a fiber material glass, (synthetic etc.) with excellent physical properties set in a matrix (binding substance) of some type of resin.
F.R.P. is a unique amongst materials. It is light, durable and astonishingly tough constructional substance which can be fabricated into a variety of products. It may be translucent, opaque or colored, flat or shaped, thin or thick. There is virtually no limit to the size of objects which can be manufactured.
Composites are hybrids of fiberglass; typical application are Aircraft Industry, Sub-sea, Electrical, and Architecture. These materials can be designed to withstand high stress conditions at a fraction of the weight of materials of equal strength. As an example, a commonly known composite (kevlar) is used in flack jackets and military helmuts.
